JUDI JOHNSON was born and raised in Clarendon, Jamaica to parents Valretta Moonasingh, a school teacher and O'Riley Moonasingh Sr, an electrician. While growing up on the beautiful island, Judi witnessed first hand hard work as she watched her parents navigate life.
It was there she discovered her love for entertainment as she saw her eldest sister compete in the “Miss Jamaica” pageant. That experience ignited in her a passion for the runway, inspiring her to emulate the glamour models she saw onscreen and in magazines.
When the family immigrated to Maryland, USA, the still-shy Judi received the opportunity to become what she revered with her first modeling job. Gaining confidence with each gig, Judi’s modeling career reached a new peak as she turned her attention to acting, beginning lessons to immerse herself in developing her craft.
Judi moved to Los Angeles to continue a career as an actor. Her past projects include the lead role in What Love Will Make You Do and ABFF Best Screenplay and Audience Choice Winner, Last Love.
Judi has since worked on several TV movies and feature films but of all of her accomplishments, Judi insists that motivating others to live their dreams is the most rewarding element of her journey. She believes we are all connected and continues to live her dreams as she reminds others to “Live Alive”.
"She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the Universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings.
